Maitre de ballet of the Ballet Company "A. Rendano"
He began his dance studies in 1975 at the Cosenza headquarters of the International Dance Center, directed by Isabella Sisca, having as first teachers Mrs. Helaine Rea, from the Royal Ballet School in London, and Loretta Savina, the Theatre of 'Opera in Rome. From 1979 he studied with teachers from the Opera House in Bucharest, including Magdalena Popa, former Prima Ballerina Etoile the same theater for many years professor of classical repertoire and repeater at the Society of the National Ballet of Canada and Amatto Checiulescu, who was principal dancer and director of the Opera of Bucharest, and still is a professor of pas de deux and choreography at the National Ballet School of Canada.
In subsequent years Antonella Monaco was completed with many teachers internationally, including: Ivan Tzanov Dragouleva and Liliana, the Opera Theatre of Sofia, Ivonne Goubé and Gilbert Meyer of the Paris Opera, the Teatro Jozo Borcic Scala, Zbigniew Strzalkowsky the Warsaw Opera House, Guy de Bock, the Opera Theatre of Augsburg.
Antonella Monaco since 1979 has taught courses in Classical Technique of International Dance Center, initially at the lower and later, for its clear merits, even at higher ones, leading to Passo d'Addio several students now dancing professionally in companies ballet in Italy and abroad including Mariafrancesca Garritano, formerly a soloist at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Andrea Volpintesta dancer at La Scala in Milan, Alessandro Makes dancer at the Opera of Rome; Pasquale Guglielmelli dancer in various musical Riccardo Cocciante; Guglielmelli Eliana, a dancer in various musical theater, Luke Lake, dancer with the company "Ballet of the South" of Lecce.
In 1981 he joined the Ballet Company "A. Make ", and became principal dancer for several years, with many interpretations that have been appreciated unanimously, for his artistic skills and interpretive. He played different roles of classical, neoclassical and contemporary, as well as various creations and was often a soloist in various operas.
At the same activity as a dancer he has also served as a teacher and choreographer of classical technique, both for the Centre for the International Dance Company "A. Make it. "
He also participated in several workshops and courses, both in Italy and abroad, for example in 1986 in the Croatian town of Primosten or Varna, Bulgaria, in 1994, during the sixteenth edition of the International Dance Competition held in that city every two years.
In 1988 he participated with his company "A. Make 'a tour in Canada.
In 1990 she was the main character of the ballet "Memoirs mind: Myths and Legends of Calabria", choreographed by Luciano Cannito for the Company "A. Make it. "
In 1994 he won the European Award for Choreography "Scarpetta d'Oro" with choreography entitled "Larghetto", music by S. Prokofiev.
In 1995 he made for the Company "A. Make "a dance in memory of the people Jew entitled" Dedicated ... ", music by J. Williams, obtaining a great success. Also in 1995 was the first solo work in "La Traviata" and "Adriana Lecouvreur", represented at the Lyric Theatre Season A. Make of Cosenza and later toured to the Theatre "Goldoni" in Livorno.
In 1996 he participated in the final of the International Choreography Competition "Città di Rieti" with his creation "Synergy", music by S. Prokofiev.
Between 1992 and 2000 Antonella Monaco was professor of Classical Technique in various professional training courses organized by the Region of Calabria and managed by the Ballet Company "A. Make it. "
In August 2005, Komiza on the island of Vis in Croatia, taught in an internship at an international level, together with important personalities from the world of dance, like Frederic Olivieri, Director of the Ballet School of La Scala in Milan and Marco Marchetti, renowned teacher and choreographer.
He finished his career as a dancer in June 2006, performing at the Theatre A. Make a duet titled "Maruzzella", together with the Principal Dancer of the Croatian National Theatre Split Lev Shaposhnikov.
In June 2009 he presented at the Teatro A. Cosenza make their own choreography for the Company "A. Make ", entitled" From Fantasy to Reality "with music by R. Collect, with whom he has met with gratifying success.
Still holds the position of maitre de ballet and choreographer of the Ballet Company "A. Make ", and principal teacher of the School of Dance" Dance Planet Srl "of Cosenza.
