Curriculum

She began studying ballet at the age of nine years at the Centro Internazionale di Danza, directed by Isabella Sisco, where she trained with renowned international teachers, among them, Marin Alecu, Ilie Suciu, Cecilia Covaci, Florin Brinduse, George Postelnicu , Calin Hantiu, all from the Bucharest National Opera House, Guy De Bock, teacher and internationally renowned choreographer, Ivan Tzanov and Liliana Dragouleva, from the Sofia Opera House, Jozo Borcic, teacher of international renown, Antonella Monaco and Stefano De Gaetano, maitres de ballet of the Compagnia Balletti "A. Rendano".
She also studied historical dances with the teachers Bela and Cecilia Covaci, from the Bucharest National Opera House and contemporary dance with Mario Piazza and Fabrizio Monteverde.
As soon as she was adult, she joined into the Compagnia Balletti "A. Rendano", participating soon in all productions made by the Compagnia itself, among which include:
"Memorie Presenti: Miti e Leggende di Calabria", with choreography by Luciano Cannito; "Fantasie di Pinocchio" with choreography by Giancarlo Vantaggio, now disappeared, played by Stefano De Gaetano; "Le Silfidi", with choreography by Mikhail Fokine, reproduced by Florin Brinduse; "Lo Schiaccianoci " with choreography by Lev Ivanov, played by Stefano De Gaetano.
She participated as a soloist in all the shows and all the tournèè that has been engaged the Compagnia Balletti "A. Rendano", with all the performances at high level.
In February 1995 she won the First National Competition "Napoli è... danza!", prepared by teachers Antonella Monaco and Stefano De Gaetano, in front of a jury composed of renowned personalities, among them Giuliana Penza, Renato Greco, Raffaele Paganini.
She has a qualification of "Maestri di Danza" and one of "Coreografa", obtained both attending, between 1995 and 1997, the Corsi Regionali di Formazione Professionale, managed by the Compagnia Balletto "A. Rendano" passing the examinations with the highest reviews.
For several years Concetta Barillaro is a teacher for the lower and upper courses of classical dance at the Centro Internazionale di Danza Srl, demonstrating excellent quality, both from an educational perspective that even as choreographer, creating a pleasant work for students of the Centro.
In 2006 she was principal soloist in a choreography entitled "Sensazione" performed by internationally renowned choreographer Marco Marchetti.
In 2007, she was again the main soloist in the choreography "Mantra Mediterraneo", produced by choreographer Guy De Bock.
Concetta Barillari is still a principal dancer of the Compagnia Balletti "A. Rendano" and teacher of Tecnica Classica for the Pianeta Danza S.r.l.
